Joel 1:15-17

^15 (A)Alas for the day!
For the ^(B)day of the Lord is near,
And it will come as ^(C)destruction from the ^[a]Almighty.
¹⁶ Has not ^(D)food been cut off before our eyes,
Gladness and ^(E)joy from the house of our God?
¹⁷ The ^[b](F)seeds shrivel under their ^[c]clods;
The storehouses are desolate,
The barns are torn down,
For the grain is dried up.
